🌿 What It Does

This ultra-fresh mist pairs Peppermint for a quick, icy feel with Cucumber for a soft, skin-comforting finish. Two clean formats below: Alcohol-Free Hydrosol (extra gentle) or Quick-Dry (with a small amount of alcohol for faster evaporation).

👉 Buy Complete Cooling Body Spray Kit

🧴 Option A — Alcohol-Free Hydrosol Mist (100 ml / 3.4 fl oz)

  • Cucumber hydrosol — 70 ml
  • Distilled water — 24 ml
  • Glycerin — 1–2 ml (≈ 1–2%)
  • Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) — 1 ml (≈ 1%)
  • Peppermint hydrosol — 3 ml (for gentle mint lift)
  • Preservative (broad-spectrum, water-phase) — per supplier
  • pH adjuster: lactic/citric to reach pH 5.0–5.5
  • Optional micro-scent: 1–2 drops peppermint EO pre-solubilized (see Pro Tips)

How to Make

  1. Sanitize a 100 ml fine-mist bottle, beaker, and tools; let dry fully.
  2. Combine cucumber hydrosol, water, glycerin, panthenol, and peppermint hydrosol. Stir gently.
  3. Add preservative per supplier rate; adjust to pH 5.0–5.5.
  4. (Optional) If using peppermint EO, pre-mix with a suitable solubilizer per supplier ratio, then whisk in. Keep dosage very low.
  5. Funnel into bottle and cap. Rest 1–2 hours to de-bubble.

🧊 Option B — Quick-Dry Mist (100 ml / 3.4 fl oz)

  • Cucumber hydrosol — 55 ml
  • Ethanol (96% or perfumer’s alcohol) — 35 ml (≈ 35%)
  • Distilled water — 7 ml
  • Glycerin — 1 ml (≈ 1%)
  • Panthenol — 1 ml (≈ 1%)
  • Peppermint hydrosol — 1 ml
  • Preservative (if required by your system) — per supplier
  • Optional micro-scent: 1–2 drops peppermint EO pre-solubilized (often self-solubilizes in ethanol; still keep very low)

How to Make

  1. Sanitize bottle and tools.
  2. Combine ethanol with glycerin and panthenol. Add peppermint EO (if using) and mix clear.
  3. Stir in cucumber hydrosol and water. Add preservative if your system requires it.
  4. Bottle, cap, and rest 1–2 hours.

🌸 How to Use

  • Hold 15–20 cm from skin and mist over arms, legs, neck, and torso. Avoid face/eyes.
  • Reapply as needed after workouts, commutes, or beach days.
  • For an extra chill: store in the refrigerator and mist post-sun (non-burned skin only).

🧭 How You Can Use This Recipe

  • For Personal Use: Your daily “cool burst” for hot, humid days—gym bag essential.
  • For R&D / Formulation: Compare hydrosol-only vs. quick-dry feel; tune glycerin 0.5–1.5% for slip; trial sodium PCA 0.5–1% for extra hydration.
  • For Small Business: Position as “Cooling Body Spray — Peppermint + Cucumber.” Offer 100 ml fine-mist bottles; summer limited edition or gym-line staple.
  • For Gifting: Bundle with a microfiber towel and a mini “post-workout refresh” card.

🪶 Storage & Shelf Life

Store capped, away from heat/sun. With correct preservation and hygiene, best within 3–4 months. Shake gently before use.

💡 Pro Tips

  • EO Safety: Keep peppermint EO extremely low (1–2 drops per 100 ml) or use only hydrosols for daily, all-over body use.
  • Solubilizer: Always pre-solubilize EO per supplier ratio to avoid separation (alcohol format may self-solubilize, but keep dose minimal).
  • Very dry skin: raise glycerin to 1.5% (alcohol-free version) for extra comfort.
  • Cooling boosters: Add 0.2–0.3% bisabolol for soothing; keep total actives gentle for frequent spritzing.

🌿 Why This Works

Peppermint provides an immediate, refreshing tingle; Cucumber lends a calm, watery freshness. Humectants help skin feel hydrated while the base stays weightless and non-sticky.

⚠️ Note

  • External use only. Avoid face/eyes and freshly shaved or irritated skin.
  • Not for children under 6; for teens/adults use hydrosol-only if very sensitive.
  • Patch-test before first use. Discontinue if irritation occurs.
